SOUTH JERSEY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

The SJMA was founded as an organization by which African-American health professionals could meet to share professional experiences and fellowship. African Americans practicing the healing arts in South Jersey go back to the turn of the century.

The official name of the SJMA was approved in June 1987. Dr Yves Manigat and Dr. George Kenner were instrumental in organizing the first meetings of the new ASSOCIATION. Our current membership has increased to over one hundred health professionals
